Oil? Vegetable oil? Any sticky stuff can usually be dissolved with oil then cleaned off with soap and water. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

I have a lot of pine trees in my yard and WD 40 removes the sap from my sails, yard furniture, etc. |

hey fanntom43 - I had read about WD40
do you put it on the cloth and then rest it on the sap or just wipe with the cloth , spray directly ?
thanks in advance

Fastest is Turpentine. Mineral spirits will work but Turps just dissolves the stuff instantly and is safe for the monofilm. |

Because it is obtained from the evergreens. It is pretty much the solvent in those saps.
It also smells good.
Ethanol and isopropanol dissolve sticky saps and probably OK on the monofilm but I would try them on some old sails first. |
