|
|
My wife has a full year Wing Foiling and doing pretty good at "free arming" and is ready to transition to winging with a harness. She has years kiting and windsurfing so has those harnesses and lots of experience using a harness. So, looking for advise on type of harness to get for winging. Of course, she could use one of her harnesses but looking for a lighter duty option without the metal bars that would impede crawling up on the board and some paddling.
Ideas and where to buy/ Thanks |

Waist harness or belt, can she just rotate hook to her side, climb on and balance, then rotate hook to front? |

That little tiny plastic hook?
Got one in the van, given to me by a winger. Said it's workable but moves all over the place and constantly unhook compared to store-bought complete |

I've been thinking to make some kind of custom harness where the hook would be at the chest level. That way the harness lines would be more inline with your arms (instead of forming a triangle between your arms, lines, and the hook), so this should reduce this problem. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but might be worth a shot? |

You just have to find a harness from the early eighties |
