Got there about 12 and found Dennis out on
I think was 5.8 He was planning most of the time.
I rigged a 5.7 and stayed on it .
Water Level OK bits of weeds floating but no clumps .
Average sail size 5.4 or 5.3
8 people windsurfing total which has been a crowd
at San Luis the last few years.
It was Gusty.
Looks like we are entering the June gloom phase so
I think there will be improving winds there.
Hardly anything in April and before this year at San Luis

Since Iwindsurf doesn't have a human forecast for San Luis, how can one tell a day or two in advance that San Luis will work? And where is everybody parking these days?

Thanks,
fxop

Iwindsurf has the most charts.
Do a complete report for San Luis on iwindsurf use the first 4 models
to get comparison between models and use the forecast chart to extend
as much as a few weeks into the future.
(however future forecasts are not working as good as they did in
the no Eddy days. The Eddy seems to help the wind as San Luis however
is on average more gusty than it used to from the SW)

weather.com has the Santa Nella report .
It gives both three day hourly and 10 day extended reports.

Look for fog extending to Casa De Fruita and the Holister Valley
Sf Bay will generally be socked in but not always.

http://www.poulton.net/windsurf/wrpt.color.html
This one gives you the pressure gradient's from coast to valley's
It light's up the gradients as green for go .
Look at Sacramento , Modesto , Bakersfield Gradients .
The same weather that makes the Sherman go generally apply s to
San Luis.

Water level sensor broke yesterday usually reads around 219 to 224
this is good link to have . I called in the issue they are aware of it.

Always bring your weed fin.

On the North side most of the Windsurfers park next to the single tree.
On the beach . Lots of potholes in the dirt portion of the road like
never before on this side drive slow.
Less of a walk of shame and some shade for down time.
On the South side near the Cement bathroom's next to the treeline
for parking . You can camp on that side and there barbecue pits.
Most people coming from Santa Cruz and the North park next to the tree
as it is Longer Drive down a dirt road and puts on a extra 10 miles
to your drive .

Select San Luis , Select complete report , Select firs 4 models
this gives you the projected graph.(also select the daily and detailed options)
Below is a forecast graph which go's a certain number of days
into the future dependent on the model I use the first three and
the 3km and see how much agreement there is.
Then the other sites.

The 152 cal trans wind sensor next to iwindsurf sensor is not updating every hour although it at least has the direction right now. So check it's graph for the time reported before believing it.
